Liam had been playing gas station when I realized the money he was playing with was a real penny. I took it away and tried to explain that he couldn't play with it because Connor might get it. Connor who puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. Liam started to pitch a fit. Not just a little fit. The hollering, screaming fit only a two year old can pitch. The kind you worry about the neighbors overhearing, even with all the windows and doors closed, and calling the authorities. After carrying on for far too long, I finally had him in my lap calm enough to talk about it. After a few minutes he got up and told me, "I need a break."
Me: "A break? A break from what?"
Liam: "I need a break from all this yelling, Momma."
He proceeded to go sit calmly on the couch and play with his letters.
